Learning outcomes of the course unit
To enable students intensive working encounters with important figures (foreign theatre critics or historians, theatre critics/educators, etc.). An introduction to the contemporary education and research trends in workplaces in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Mode of study
Dependent upon the intentions of the instuctor (most frequently, lectures connected to the course, course with screenings, exercises, group or individual attendance at theatre performances, etc.).
Prerequisites and co-requisites
When foreign instructors are visiting, knowledge of English (A2) or another foreign language is necessary (with consideration of the availability of interpretation). Also required is the completion of prior tasks assigned for all workshops. The majority are at least three-days ahead (literature, attendance at theatre productions, developing a particular topic, aimed research).
Course contents
The workshop is registered for the accordant semester based on departmental plans,and domestic and foreign guest scheduling. the Dept. determines for which study-year the workshop is required and which, elective.
Recommended or required reading
Study material is assigned with consideration of the workshop topic and recommendations fo the guest instructor.
Assessment methods and criteria
100% active participation in the workshop, completion of preliminary assignments, active joining into work and discussions, written work.
