Niki Caro
Niky Caro is a screenwriter, a director and a producer from New Zealand. She attended the Elam School of Fine Arts and the Swinburne University of Technology. Initially, she was interested in steel sculptures. She came to write screenplays through reading books and was always fascinated by film. She aquiered her first experience in television. Her depute Sure to Rise was nominated for a Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival. Her folowing feature length films, not only won the Film Academy Awards in New Zealand, they were also showcased in Cannes and Venice. She was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Oscar when she began working in Hollywood. Her latest film is titled McFarland USA with Kevin Costner in the leading role.
