Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course aim is to teach students how to present their project in the television or film market. The task is to learn how to recognize topics which have a chance to succeed and present them in a form that will intrigue producers or investors, or possibly grant commission. The course assists the students gain a bearing of where and how to investigate the potential of their subject matter.
The focus is also to acquire the ability to judge subject matter and scripts from a producers point of view.
Students analyse, under the guidance of the instructor, why a given project was able to be implemented and why it was successful in examples of Czech and foreign creations.
Mode of study
Study is in classes, analyses and screenings.

No knowledge requirements necessary.
Course contents
Recommended or required reading
Students are recommended to monitor articles regarding the development of media and web-pages with TV station programming focus and the pages of successful films and television programs.
Assessment methods and criteria
Credit is awarded based on class participation and the assigned paper in which the student completes a given form for a television program offering in any genre which in the formal and content aspects fulfills the criteria covered in class.
