Conprehensive introduction to the film director profession from the development of the script to the film completion.

Course contents
In this course the basic issues of film direction will be covered. Why is the figure first then the story. What is the figure's dilemma and what is the figures dramatic development? What is a drama situation and what is its construction.
In collaboration with the Camera Dept. attention will be devoted to the potential of inter-shot arrangement, film scene treatments, the psychology of working with extremely sharp takes.
In this course the Dramaturgy Dept. students analyse the subject matter and the script by the Directing Dept. students. Directing Dept. students will analyse the graduation script by the Dramaturgy Dept.
