Theory preparations for shooting the Color Etude exercise

Mode of study

Moderated discussion and analysis of motifs for the Color Etude aiming towards the formulation of a color dramaturgy of the technical challenge of the Color Etude and the technical script.

Explication of the assigned exercise.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

General cultural education and sensitivity to the world of color around us.

Course contents

Graphic drama concept of the image. Drama figure as an objecto of graphic dramatic stylization. Scene, costume, mask. Figure viewed in the scene image. Changes in situation elements. External and internal meanings. Expressive tendencies. Importance of composition. Prepared effects and dominants. Overall color dramaturgy of a feature film.

Artistic publications - monographies of classical and modern art.

Assessment methods and criteria

The condition for the award of credit is meeting deadlines givent in „Exercise Instructions', 70% course attendance. A defined form for the Color Etude technical script according to the “Exercises Instructions" in printed form for the FOT XII exam exercise.
