Learning outcomes of the course unit

To introduce students to the range of 3D post-production technologies. Camera Dept. Master's students must have a basic bearing and knowledge of the use and ability or well-versed discussions with 3D artists in order to become a discriminating creator of the image elements of a cinematic piece. Instruction is through presentations, project samples and practical examples of compositions with 3D effects in LDK

Mode of study

Přednáška formou prezentace, obrazový doprovod,ukázky z tvorby klasických filmových triků prováděných v kameře a duplikačními technologiemi i v digitální postprodukci. Analýza ukázek s podrobným rozborem. Projekce trikových pasáží,vše za přítomnosti autora většiny těchto ukázek.Diskuse s posluchači o jejich projektech.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Completion of lectures by ing.Hřebačky - Digitální Workflow1.

Completion of lectures by ing.Bernase – Kolorimetrie, doc.Mgr.Weiser –VFX I. a VFX II.

Course contents

This course continues lectures from the VFX II course. The lecturer guides students through the fundamentals of VFX technology in the film and television industry in film examples from around the world and from cameraman practice. There is production of 3D effects; their application in diverse technologies and contemporary use in cinematography. Simultaneous with the lectures, there will be classes with practical tasks in „VFX exercises“ in the department studio in LP and in the LDK workshop. Students complete the tasks individually under the supervision of teaching asst. J. Ježek and assoc prof. A.Weiser.
