Completion of the course „Fundamental Camera practice 1.“
Course contents
This course is directly linked to „Fundamental Camera Practice 1“ and continues to develop the cameraman's practical skills, particularly in working with video technology. The instruction is a combination of an illustration with a visual presentation and manners of completion of practical tasks. An integral part is the practical exercise „The Charles Bridge.“
1-4 Film camera assessories
Camera stands, movement equipment, compendium, special optical, fly-leaf, other drives.
5-6 Camera care and maintenance
Film camera defects, sample tests for judging optical image quality and jitter.
Camera maintenance during shooting.
8-12 Various camera recording methods
Recording at standard frequencies - static shooting, panorama, various camera movement.
Recording higher and lower frequencies.
Recording with sound, synchronicity, asynchronicity, playback.
Simple camera effects.
13-18 Videocamera
The particulars of electronic cinematography, service and setting television camera, special assessories.
19-26 Assignment and analysis of the Charles Bridge exercise
Theme, image treatment explanation, analysis of raw material, screening and evaluation after editing, discussion

Written material for topic will be given to each student during the course (tables, nomograms, texts).
Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester class attendance and completion of work practice experience at ARRI Rental and PANAVISION Rental are required. The exam is comprised of theory (50%) and practical application knowledge sections in exponometry and senzitometry (50%).
