The theory section may be separated into roughly three parts (which mutually blend into and supplement each other) such:

I. Production approaches in completinga film project.

II. A good orientation in potential financing and European support systems.

III. Information regarding European agreements and conventions in cinema co-productions.

Part of the workshop will include consultations on the bachelor's and master's theses.

The practical part will be comprised of preparations, selections, consultations and support o production projects, exercises and with agreement, extra-curricular projects. Student participation, communications, mutual assistance, and sharing of experience between study years and departments. The workshop is open for consultations with all students.

Otakar Svoboda Workshop:

Generally the aim is the acquisition of production habits in creating school exercises, resolving problems in implementation which is a topic which are not particularly covered, sometimes and rarely publishable. There are personal consultations with the workshop lead regarding student projects. I consider my contributions originating from my long-term practice to be fundamental. Significant in my workshop is directing the students to television at Kavčí Hory. Particular types of programs, foremost in the area of large-scale live broadcasts, may be found on the FAMU website under individual Production Dept. workshops. I start with the assumption that an introduction to production technology and the organization aspect of Czech Television is the only having a complete production line including film labs in this time of electronic media growth as completely comprehendible. Becoming a member of this workshop should be an inspiration to the students, who are considering the perspectives of their future work in television.

Petr Oukropec Workshop:

The production workshop focuses on motivating individual creativity and the ability to initiate, set and responsibly manage a film project. At the theory and practice levels, students create and analyse the origin and development of projects, production dramaturgy, financial models, the creation of financial plans, co-production strategies and as well, project distribution and marketing potential. Students investigate and develop their production projects. The workshop, in the Summer semester, concentrates on the creation and completion of student films.
