Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course aim is the technical, aesthetic and, as well, the content management of studio depiction of human anatomy issues from technical and artistic viewpoints. The task is divided into required and elective parts. The required part is implemented in the B/W analog negative-positive processing. The elective parti is a freely chosen technical form.

Course contents
Course description:
Course content is working with one or more models, flash lighting (managing intensity, ratio and modulation) and studio work with a medium format camera.
Study method:
- Theory section: Using examples and presentation will be an introduction to human anatomy and its depiction issues.
- Practical section: Studio lighting examples, practical exponometry, working with a model and medium format.
The recommended method for incorporating the image element into a formal depiction of the human anatomy will be a combination of the required part of the assignment (studio photo of a body) and the elective element (creative-artistic photo).
Work on the given task begins with developing the written reasons for selection and intent with a particular anatomical type of individual - individuals. This writing is the premise for discussion with the head instructor over the most appropriate approach to the given issue. On-going consultations throughout the Winter and Summer semesters are a necessity from first contact all the way to the mock-up creation phase and graphic proposal and typographic treatment of the final book form.
Tasks: (exercise 2P1)
Face and body
Output: Book format 30x40cm, single pages made by any technical design. Total cca. 15 two-sided.
8 pieces of black and white analog technical photos of a figure on a white background format 30 x 40 cm.

Assessment methods and criteria
Graded credit awarded based on evaluated submitted exercises. The originality of the creative input and technical development quality and maintenance of the assignment.
The premise for evaluating the student is the required participation in a minimum of 80% of the lectures and participation in the required group consultations established at the beginning of instruction and submission of the stipulated photographs as well as a digital form in TIFF format in 300dpi resolution.
