Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course aim is a technical, aesthetic but also content management of issues of studio depiction of human anatomy from a technical and artistic perspective. The task is divided into obligatory and voluntary parts. The obligatory part takes place in the Winter semester in a B/W analog positive-negative process. In the voluntary part (Summer semester) the technical form is executed freely.

Course contents
Course description:
Course content is studio work with flash lighting (managment of intensity, proportion and modulation). Working with medium format cameras and one or more models.
Studo manner:
- Theory section: Through examples and a presentation there is an introduction to issues with the human anatomy and its depiction.
- Practical section: Examles of studio lighting, practical exponometrics, working with a model, and medium format.
Work on the assignment begins with the completion of a written justification and focus with a specified individual anatomy typology. This „libretto“ is the basis for further discussions with the lead instructor on the most appropriate approach to the given issues. Continual consultations during the Winter and Summer semesters are a must from the beginning to the model creation phase and proposal of the graphic and typographic form of the final book.

Start:
Winter Semester: obligatory section: assignment of studio shots of the body on a white background, 8 shots B/W analogy photos 30x40cm format
Summer Semester: Free section: publication with the use of a portrait and human figure, technical execution is free, extent of approx. 15 two-sided pages (25-30 photos)

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation:
Graded credit is awarded based on evaluation of exercises. The originality, technical quality of processing and maintenance of exercise assignment are evaluated.
The requirement for student evaluation is a minimum of 60% participation in lectures and required group consultations established at the beginning of instruction and submission of stipulated photos also in digital form in TIFF format at 300dpi resolution.
