Learning outcomes of the course unit

The module will introduce students to the basics of working with scholarly literature: it will introduce the main methodological approaches and kinds of research, available libraries and electronic sources; it will explain the differences between academic and popular literature; present citation styles and the ways of using scholarly sources; it will specify the form of critical writing required in historical and theoretical courses as well as the general requirements for the final thesis.
