Course contents

The modul brings experience with one of the most dramatic political events such as the parliamentary elections held in October. Withing inviting an external guest – Filip Láb (Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism, FSV UK, Prague) will present examples of photoreports by well-known photographers and will collectively draw students to one of the political parties entering parliamentary elections. Part of the experience is also the process of obtaining accreditation, getting acquainted with important personalities, obtaining information on the spot about individual personality, editing, selection, postproduction and creating an efective caption for each image, as a result a professional work with the reportage as a whole. The module emphasizes the complexity of the assignment and, besides the perfect craftsmanship of the image, also the concept of the caption as a suitable text form.
