Learning outcomes of the course unit

The purpose of the course is the broadening of the knowledge of potential results for photography. As well, this covers the specifics of a technology whose understanding occurs naturally to a better understanding of off-set print and other possible print tehniques based on a decompostion of the image to color channels.

Workshop results will be presented in the studio exhibition „Jackpot“ in Meetfactory in Prague (5/2019)

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Completion of Photography Dept. introductory courses of the first year is required.

Course contents

Riso is a workshop for the Riso special print technique. In regular meetings, students are introduced to the technique and history of this technology.

Each student, during the course, prepares a proposal of one photograph/graphic which they learn to prepare for print. This is the selection of an appropriate motif, working with a surface and preparation of print data in the Adobe CC graphics program.

active collaboration with the lecturer
