Learning outcomes of the course unit
The Introduction to Contemporary Graphic Design 2 course aim is an introduction of the students to the principles of creating a multi-page document in Adobe InDesign. Emphasis is placed not only on software knowledge but also an overal concept of graphics proposals in relation to manners of pubilication (print / online). At the end of the course each should be able to prepare a document with a number of layout settings, text styles, links to image material and export the final file to PDF.
Mode of study
Instruction is through individual consultations, presentations of examples and explications of work in the program.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Completion of Introduction to Graphic Design 1 is required.

- Principles in creating the print layout or presentation
- Rhythm of the collection, refining the template
- Interaction between the image and the text
- Hierachy of visual elements
- Fundamental rules of composition
- Relationship of the graphics proposal and the final output in materials
- Work in the program InDesign (setting the collection, template, text styles, image binding, export result)

Grading:
Summer semester - exam
The subject of grading is the final collection, model or photo-documentation of an implemented project. Artistic invention and technical development of the document are graded.
Regular attendance is required for the award of credit
