Learning outcomes of the course unit
This course is intended for students preparing their thesis work. It is to help students, particularly in the idea and methodology aspects. The course aim is on-going group preparations for the final master's theory thesis. It is a platform for discussions over the selected topics or manners of development.
Mode of study
Guided discussion about the topic and form of the thesis. Analysis of professional texts.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Theory generalization skills on study issues.
Course contents
The seminar is intended to help students prepare for the theoretical portion of the master's exam. The course method involves a group discussion with students in both years of the master's programme on a wide range of professional topics. Students deepen their knowledge through systematic analyses and refine their ability to interpret theory and apply it widely in individualised solutions to practical creative problems and their skills in logically formulating opinions, etc.
Recommended or required reading
Study of selected Sound Dept theses and other trade literature focused on the thesis topic.
Assessment methods and criteria
Credit is awarded based on activity and attendance in classses and the assigned paper.
