Learning outcomes of the course unit
- To acquaint students with various potential electronic modifications of a sound source.
- To acquaint students with the historical development of analog and digital modifications.
Mode of study
Presentation of factual data for the discussed topics. Listening to and analysis of selected samples.
Discussion and assessment of elementary practice tasks, ex; removing undesired noise, appropriate application of reverb, etc.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Completion of Mathematics, Physics, Film Sound Procedures and Technology 1.
Course contents
(Electronic Sound Adjustments 1)
Students are introduced to the various electronic potentials of adjusting an acoustic signal from a spatial viewpoint. Pitch and color changes and other specific effects adjustments. Principles and historical development of analog finishers are taught. Digital sound adjustment theory basis is acquired.
