Learning outcomes of the course unit
The aim of the course is to systematically cultivate and develop the analytical skills of the students and to concurrently check it in the creation of particular analyses.
Mode of study
moderated dialogues, discussions, analyses of animated film.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
No prior knowledge is necessary to register for this course.
Course contents
The course is divided into three parts, each of which has its own programme. The third and fourth semesters are devoted to learning about individual national schools of animated film, the fifth semester is devoted to analyses of school exercises, graduation films, and films by graduates of the department, and the sixth semester focuses on analyses of particularly significant and structurally interesting animated films.

No required nor recommended literature.
Assessment methods and criteria
Credit is awarded based on elaboration and presentation of a paper of an analysis of an animated film or course paper. Furthermore, credit is based on active participation in the course.
