Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students adopt film expression skills, acquire directing skill which will enable them to compete in the AV world and acquire information necessary for successful execution of their exercises.

Mode of study

Systematic work on a film assignment in all the phases of filmmaking: story, screenplay, casting, location scouting, storyboard, shooting, editing, sound editing. Analysis of films whose content and/or form relates to the assignment works of individual students.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Successful completion of requirement for acceptance into the given study semester/year.

Course contents

Students exercises consultations. Film language, working with actors and film drama.

Recommended or required reading

Collection of film and literary works related to a student's work. Teacher is to advise distinct works and books.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation and students´ effort are the main criteria of final evaluation.

  1. Successful directing concept and implementation of the film exercise in all creative phases.
  2. Active participation in guided and non-guided discussions.
  3. Attendance.

Note

Instruction will be given in accordance with the CDM practical assignments.
