Attendance at screenings is obligatory - only 3 excused absences!

Course contents

Survey lecture series in the History of Czech cinematography II continuing lectures by Assoc. Prof. Ivan Klimeš, survey of the History of Czech Cinematography I. The course covers the period from the 1960s to the present.

Note

Survey of the History of Czech Film has, as its aim, to acquaint students with the period of 1960-2000 in Czech cinematography, in which, along an aesthetic perspective (artsistically marked artists and pieces), emphasis is placed on an understanding of the overall social, political, economic and technological views of those years which significantly determine our cinematographyfor those years.
