Assessment methods and criteria

This course is concluded with an exam.

The conditions for sitting the exam are:

class participation

completion of assignments

an independent presentation

The exam has a written and oral part.

The written test (approx. 60 mins) contains reading comprehension, listening, grammar and vocabulary sections. You need to score min. 50% in the written test to be able to take the oral part of the exam.

The oral section has a form of PowerPoint oral presentation: 10-15 mins (approx. 10-15 slides) on a study-related topic.

Note

If the student is unable to attend instruction because of extenuating circumstances (internship, competitions, serious health problems), the instructor must be contacted to supply the materials and set a appointment for consultation. Otherwise, the student may sit a test.

Only CJP tests from the last three years will be recognized. Tests from other schools or other English certificates do not release students from the requirement of sitting an appropriate test.
