The aim is to reach satisfactory stage of the diploma thesis which can be - with minor changes and after final polishing - printed and submitted at the state exam.

Obsah kurzu
Student continues in developing the diploma thesis with assigned advisor. Within 6th semester of the studies diploma thesis should be finished or near completion so student can approach state exam. During the course of the semester the student will give regular updates on progress made. One class will be devoted to making a presentation of the content of the thesis to the rest of the class. Part of the written thesis, at least one full chapter, (details given in class) must be submitted to the course instructor in order to pass the course.

Expectations for course are reviewed
Updates from students on progress made since last semester.
(At the start of this course, it is expected that the title, subject and layout of the thesis is clear, that students have finished writing their introductions and are starting to write the first chapter of the thesis. They have also contacted their thesis adviser and a plan for consultations has been made.)
Session Two 2.3
Students bring to class questions related to their work for the class to discuss. It is possible to use this session to screen a scene that the class can help to analyze if the thesis includes such content.

Students should update instructor on meeting with adviser.
Session Four 30.3
Two students will use class time to make a presentation on the content of one chapter of their thesis. This is not introductory or a presentation on the topic in a general way, but a presentation of one chapter that goes into depth in proving the thesis.
2nd year CDM Students from Thesis Seminar attend this class and should hear a description of all projects from the 3rd year CDM students.
Session Five 20.4 (No class was on Easter Monday, 13.4)
Two students will use class time to make a presentation on the content of one chapter of their thesis. This is not introductory or a presentation on the topic in a general way, but a presentation of one chapter that goes into depth in proving the thesis.
Students should update instructor on meeting with adviser.
2nd year CDM Students from Thesis Seminar will be present at this class.
Session Six 27.4
Two students will use class time to make a presentation on the content of one chapter of their thesis. This is not introductory or a presentation on the topic in a general way, but a presentation of one chapter that goes into depth in proving the thesis.
2nd year CDM Students from Thesis Seminar may opt to attend this class.
Papers are due on (or before) Monday 4.5 - one copy should be sent to instructor and all class members for discussion on 11.5.
Papers are expected to represent a chapter in the thesis (not introduction) and should be approximately ten pages in length, not counting illustrations or notes, following MLA or APA (or other recognized standard), with footnotes in correct format.
During this last week, written form/evaluation of work in progress from thesis adviser should be turned in.
Session Seven 11.5
Feedback given on papers received.
Course is passed or failed depending on the student meeting the criteria: Student has consulted with adviser, lectured in-class on some aspect of thesis (treated in-depth), and submitted paper to instructor on time.

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria
A passing grade is granted - upon confirming from the advisor - that the student has been consulting with the adviser on the thesis topic and evidence of completed work (additional chapter written since Thesis Mentorship 1) is presented. This written work will be due on the first Monday in May. The student must also attend, without exception, a minimum of 50% of the classes, (more is expected), in order to receive credit, and in one class present a lecture on part of the thesis' content to other class participants.
