Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course aim is the expansion of qualification requirements of our graduates and as well their better application in practice. Aside from this, they acquire practice in the use of television and film technology which in contemporary theatre is more and more frequent.
Mode of study
Classes, screenings, internship at a television broadcast of a theatre production.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Completion of the bachelor's study in directing and dramaturgy is required.
Course contents
This course is allocated to two semesters. The introductory semester will proceed in the form of seminars and lectures over the history of television adaptation and practices in approaches in individual genres and styles, including their comparisons. At the close of the first semester the students will prepare a detailed director's screenplay of a television program in which they must master the basics of television technology, and the accordant dramaturgic-production-directorial preparations. The second semester will be more dedicated to practice in which the students, under the guidance of an experienced director, will go through the entire process of shooting a television production.

Study material requirements will be determined in the introductory seminar.
Assessment methods and criteria
Particpation in class. For the dramaturgist, evaluation of a completed screenplay for a TV broadcast of a theatre performance. For the director, an attempt at that performances execution.
