Learning outcomes of the course unit

Fitness training intended for all students who wish to develop a good physical condition. We work with various materials contributing to that which the group needs.

Mode of study

Contact instruction, group work. During training we try various techniques and approaches, ex: contemporary dance, floorwork, partnering, improvization, coordination exercises and rhythim, martial arts principles, and Tai Chi.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

For grading regular attendance (70%) and written review at the end of each semester.

This course is open to all students. No prior experience necessary.

Course contents

Fascination with the movement of one's body, movement of a partner, movement in a space. Coming to an awareness of movement. Working with time and gravity.

Working with internal space; building sensitivity to a space, to a partner, environment. Physically challenging classes for all who wish to remain in good physical condition.
