Learning outcomes of the course unit
By the end of Boot Camp 2, participants should have identified their weakness and strengths at the time of conceiving a complex and efficient visual language that resonates with the dramatic narrative demanded by the Triangle Project.
All this in a time frame that will allow them to still make changes both on script and visual approach before the actual shooting of their project and therefore, be able to have a better film for Final Commission.

Course contents
Boot Camp 2 follows the same principle of Boot Camp 1 and aims to provide the participant students a hands-on experience for further and deeper development of their visual narrative skills.
The Boot Camp 2 is conceived inside the frame of the 16mm “Triangle Project”, it will serve as training and test field for the final film of the 1st year of the CDM Program.
The students will choose a scene/sequence from their Triangle project and will go through the process of: analysis, breakdown into story bits, storyboarding and shooting of such scene. The students will edit by their own out of the Boot Camp and will receive feedback and criticism during the last sessions, dedicated to projection, review and discussion of the final results.
The mentors will encourage perpetual questioning about the decisions being made by the students: camera angles, tracking and movements, lengths of shot, style proposals and specific narrative goals of the directing process.
The mentors will be present during the shooting, in order to guide not only the prime directorial dynamics but also essential tasks of the work on set related to workflow and the role of the 1st AD.
