Learning outcomes of the course unit
A reinforcement of the aesthetic perception of the film genre. Films are selected so they will have a relevant relationship to 20th century history and the present topics. Screenings are accompanied by the discussion with a guest - director of the film, artist or intellectual.

Course contents
Screening of significant Czech or international films of the past and present, followed by a debate with a guest - either author (director, producer...) of the film or artist or intellectual. Screening gives an opportunity to open various topic within its context.
Guest Lectures start October 7, 2019. The later dates to be confirmed in the calendar.

Assessment methods and criteria
To pass:
Attendance at the minimum of 8 lectures
OR
Attendance at the minimum of 5 lectures + essay (3600 characters including spaces)
