The aim is to introduce students to examples of the platforms and infrastructure for recording, depicting, modelling and simulating the planet Earth.

This module is graded based on attendance and excursion participation.

Note

Lukáš Likavčan is a theoretician and researcher. He studies the philosophy of technology and political ekology in his work. He studied Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy at Massaryk University in Brno and also studied Socology at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul. He has worked at the Wirtschaftsuniversität in Vienna, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht and BAK (Basis voor Actuele Kunst, Utrecht. He is part of the speculative think-tank The New Normal at Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design in Moscow as a researcher and tutor.
