Learning outcomes of the course unit

The aim of the course is a extension of the qualification groundwork of our graduates and for better application of those qualifications in practice. Aside from this, they will gain experience in the use of television and film technology which in multimedia is evermore present in contemporary theatre

Classes, screenings, preparing one's screenplay.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

The condition is the completion of the bachelor level study of direction and dramaturgy.

Course contents

This course is allocated to two semesters. The introductory semester will proceed in the form of seminars and lectures over the history of television adaptation and practices in approaches in individual genres and styles, including their comparisons. At the close of the first semester the students will prepare a detailed director's screenplay of a television program in which they must master the basics of television technology, and the accordant dramaturgic-production-directorial preparations. The second semester will be more dedicated to practice in which the students, under the guidance of an experienced director, will go through the entire process of shooting a television production.
