Learning outcomes of the course unit
An auxiliary course to Set-design study. This contributes to comprehensive set-design and text interpretation.
This covers the understanding of the purpose of costuming in theatre production, develops conceptual thinking based on a drama and analysis of drama situations. This reinforces artistic communication and basic knowledge of materials for executing costuming proposals.
Mode of study
Individual consultations on prepared sketches and drawings, inspirational sources, analysis of dramatic situations, costuming proposals and executions.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Artistic communication and dramatic thought. A good bearing in the study: fine art, Material culture and literature. Creativity and continuity skills.
Course contents
Studio instruction devoted to the development of thought in creating a drama figure and an introduction to starting points and conditions for creating the costuming. This course covers the costuming creative, color and material treatments with an emphasis on the dramatic starting point of costuming.

Assessment methods and criteria
