Successful completion of the first two years of master's study. + Thesis Seminar – Decision on thesis topic, preliminary outline, preliminary consultations, preliminary bibliography

Course contents

Individual consultations regarding the topic, preparations, and methods for the thesis. Group discussion during regular class sessions around thesis topic and methodology. Possible screening of scenes to be analyzed. Near week ten of the semester, students will „pitch“ thesis topic and methodology to a committee for approval.

Assessment methods and criteria

Pass grade is given to the student upon work submitted during the Fall term consultations. Student should have 50% attendance at the seminars in order to receive credit for the course. It is necessary to have a completed and detailed written outline for the thesis by the time of pitching the thesis topic to the committee approving the topic.
