Learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding

After completing the course, students should be able to:

•demonstrate knowledge of key terms in the following areas: Arts Management, Arts Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Fundraising, Leadership skills, Budgeting, Legal issues.

• describe the system of EU copyright laws, its historical development and current issues

Skills and abilities

After completing the course, students should be able to:

•show improved English proficiency in all language competencies (reading, speaking, reading, listening)

•demonstrate ability to use selected transerable/soft skills, mainly professional /formal emailing and pitching a project

Mode of study

Seminar /tutorial (in class discussions) - 2 x 90 mins a week + independent study / preparation for class (cca 2 x 90 mins a week)

Entry requirements and prerequisites:

•702HAP1 English for the Music industry (for students of Music Management) or B1+ level for students of other programmes.
