After completing the course, the candidate perceives their work in the context of their creative process, and is aware of their aspirations, stereotypes and the kitsch component of the creative process. He/she cultivates his/her creation based on his/her own analysis and on the feedbacks of the teacher and fellow learners. It learns to approach and discuss critically.

Obsah kurzu

The course - Form and Content of the Artwork is designed as a course in the first year of the Bachelor's degree in which students learn conceptual approaches in their own work, learn to formulate their intention within the framework of the assignment and deepen the connection of their work within the historical context.

The first semester works with general concepts - quality/characteristics of the artwork vs. kitsch vs. banality - that students work with in their portrayal of archetypes, fictional character creation, associative practices, and manual creation. They learn to work with and create a positive critical attitude. In the theoretical part, they work through a presentation of selected chapters in the history of visual art from the second half of the 20th century to the present, with an emphasis on the historical and political context.

7/ the meaning of joke in art - the shortcut of thought - thinking in a cultural and historical context

8/ presentation of selected artistic movements and styles in a historical-political context and against the background of specific events

9/ associative thinking

10/ creating stories based on associations

11/ tradition in thought

12/ instruction vs. ritual
