Obsah kurzu

In the final year of study, the Graphic Design and Photography 3 and 4 seminar is a kind of auxiliary platform for the realization of the final photographic publication, which is part of the master's thesis at the end of the summer semester. The teaching is mainly in the form of individual consultations on the projects in progress. Specific problems in graphic design and the overall concept of the publication are solved. Adequate material for production, suitable reproduction techniques and appropriate binding form are sought. The aim is to produce a realistic book that helps to articulate the author's artistic attitude. Instruction in the seminar takes the form of individual consultations, presentations of samples and independent work in programs.

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria

Based on the previous preparation during the winter semester, the actual realization of the author's photographic publication, which is part of the master's thesis, takes place. The effort should be to complete and precisely process the printing documents for the realization of the book in material. Proper timing of printing and finishing is important. Depending on the nature of the chosen topic, either hand or industrially sewn binding may be applied.

The submission of the printed and bound book is subject to evaluation. The artistic inventiveness as well as the technical workmanship of the publication are evaluated. Regular attendance at the seminar is required.

Specification of the required output:

Printed output understood as the final authorized state. Printed and bookbinding finished final book.
