Learning outcomes:
Knowledge and understanding:
After finishing the course, the student:
- will be able to define concepts and key terms in the areas of arts management, leadership skills, fundraising and crowdfunding
- will be able to demonstrate knowledge of structure and strategies of arts marketing
- will be able to describe and effectively apply principles and tools of PR and crisis communication
- will be able to identify the most common music industry agreements and contracts, and will be familiar with the structure and most important features of the artist management contract, tour agreement and recording production contract
Skills and abilities:
After finishing the course, the student:
- will show improved English proficiency in all competencies (reading, speaking, reading, listening)
- will be able to speak and write competently for a variety of purposes, such as public speaking, effective e-mail writing and describing and dealing with problems
- will be able to distinguish various decision making styles and employ various decision making strategies
- will demonstrate ability to use selected soft skills, such as negotiating and discussing in group
