Course contents

Learning objectives:

The aim of the lessons is to enable composers to deepen their performance skills or to gain a foundation in playing their chosen instrument in the context of their compositional activity.

Thematic areas:

Examples of course content:

the student plans to write a composition for e.g. percussion and would like to get a practical introduction to playing percussion instruments. The student will then contact the head of the percussion department, who may involve one of the doctoral students in the teaching.
during the semester, the student plays a composition by a classmate on their instrument under the guidance of one of the teachers, which he/she performs at a concert of the department

The course can be enrolled in repeatedly.

Assessment methods and criteria

A student can enrol in this course only if he/she has arranged lessons with a teacher beforehand. Credit examination will be awarded based on the completed performance of the piece in concert, or by activity in class.
