Learning outcomes of the course unit

Identification of 12 documentary projects of various generic and stylistic properties, in different stages of completion, with active participation in the editing of their visual presentations. Effective networking with directors and producers from Central and Eastern Europe.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

The condition of participation is that students must take their own editing hardware (a laptop with AVID/Final Cut/Adobe Premiere Pro) with them. The organizers will cover the costs of transportation, provide accommodation and full board for October 25 – 27. Students will also receive IDFF Jihlava accreditation pass and will be able to attend whole Ex Oriente Film program as observers (lectures, masterclass, group sessions, consultations with our tutors).

Course contents

Supervised by both director and tutor, the students will take part in dramaturgical set up and editing of trailers for 12 documentary projects that are participating in the international workshop Ex Oriente Film.
