The student knows the formal requirements of writing professional texts, knows the citation standards, knows how to conduct literature research and prepare a research-oriented written work project.

Course contents

The seminar is devoted to ongoing consultations of the theoretical bachelor thesis, combining the introduction of basic requirements, procedures and approaches by the supervisor with individual consultations with supervisors.

1 - introduction to the requirements for qualifying theses and state examinations

2 - basic methodological approaches and types of research, subject libraries and electronic resources, professional and popular literature

3 - citation standards and how to work with sources

4 - consultation of topics, joint meeting of students and supervisors

5 - literature search

6, 7, 8 - defining the topic of the bachelor thesis: abstract, keywords

9, 10 - working structure of the bachelor thesis, bibliography

11, 12 - finalisation of the bachelor thesis project
