Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students are able to perform advanced photo editing in AdobePhotoshop. Particular attention was paid to color management. Students are able to independently perform monitor, printer and scanner profiling and calibration. They apply the ICC profiles obtained in Adobe Photoshop and use them for proofing and proofing. With a view to eventually working with a graphic pre-press studio or printer, students are introduced to the basic principles of PDF file creation and related concepts.

Course contents
Digital image processing 1. It is conducted in the form of contact teaching and includes theoretical lectures, joint consultations in the form of seminars, practical teaching and individual consultations according to the needs of the student.
Main topics
1-3/ Establishing and deepening in the field of colour management - theory + demonstrations + evaluation of problem areas in the student's work and finding solutions
Colour management (CIE 1931, CIE Lab, colour management principles, ICC profiles, gamut mapping)
4/ Specific functions of peripheral devices - issues of monitor, printer and scanner calibration and profiling
5-7/ Advanced photo editing in Adobe Photoshop - application of colour management in Adobe Photoshop according to the assignment with specific tasks + work with outputs from other practical courses, especially from the Photography 02 Techniques course
8-9 Characteristics of PostScript and PDF formats, export to PDF
10-12/ Advanced colour management and application of ICC profiles in Adobe Photoshop, characteristics of basic print workflow operations
