Course contents

PAF Olomouc Festival took place for the first time at the beginning of the third millennium, its development and changes are connected in many respects with gradually formulated notes on the present in the fields of animation, games, music, cinematography, contemporary art, sound and moving images in general.

The original animated film festival, which benefits from film history, gradually became a space between the territories of the image and its momentum in galleries, clubs or consoles - PAF tried to befriend areas that ignored each other, only floated and existed side by side - based on different practice, tradition, history.

We are interested in the anchor points of the past or present with possible overlaps to consider the future of the given areas. This year's dramaturgy provides an idea of the changes in art at the beginning of the third millennium in areas that it individually monitors at the level of dialogue with artists, curators, animators, filmmakers, composers, historians, theorists and educators.
