Learning outcomes of the course unit
By the end of the course students will:
-be able to follow the research process for the script
-write a treatment of the script for his graduation film
-understand the connection and necessary balance between the theme and the creative approach on one side and the production requirements and the budget limitation on the other side

Course contents
Directing students write and direct short film up to 25 minutes. Students are lead in their tutorial to develop short fiction, based on the story, developed by the student or taken from literature. Student can shoot adaptation or shoot existing screenplay of screenwriting master program student. There is no style limit, except of avoiding non-narrative approach.
The course will be focused on research for the script, and pre-production for Graduation Project 2. Students get support from various faculties to receive multiple feedback.

Assessment methods and criteria
Pass grade is given based on students active approach and consultations with teachers and upon submission of the accomplished script treatment and approved outline of a pre-production plan.
The pass grade will be calculated as follows:
Activity and consultations - 10%
Accomplished script treatment - 40%
Approved outline of a pre-production plan - 50%
