Students will be acquainted with the course of the development of a full-night animated film, with the director's way of thinking, her resources and procedures.

Course contents
An animated movie My sunny Mad (2021) by Michaela Pavlátová will be screened. This film has got a series of awards, including a nomination for the Golden Globes award.
It describes a story of a Czech woman, who gets married in Afghanistan. The reality of her new life is very different from what she has expected.
In the following lecture, the director will explain her directing approach, her dramaturgical, artistic background, her way of thinking. The lecture will be accompanied by scatches, art designs, animation tests of the development and production.
The lecture will end by discussion with students.
