This course focuses on an introduction to the most significant figures in Czech drama and modern directing.
Learning outcomes
Acquiring an overview of Czech Theatre in the 20th and 21st Centuries.
Prerequisites and other requirements
A requirement is the completion of bachelor's level of study in directing and dramaturgy or theatre studies.
Literature
Readings will be determined by the instructor in view of the material covered.
Evaluation methods and criteria
On-going reading of assigned plays and professional writings, class participation.
Note
Attendance at selected theatre performances of leading Czech directors and their analysis.
