Contents
- The entire course is an introduction to adopting knowledge and increasing awareness and skills in the creative potential of theatre management. It is a presentation of various paths of working with creativity, individuals, groups, binding together the entire organization. Aside from theory explanations, an important part of the course is an interactive investigation of that potential in one's self and in projects, currently underway.
- The entire course is a broadening of theory-practice view towards a greater measure of freedom in implementing one's project and approaches to creativity and moving from the traditional distribution of roles in theatre operations.
- The course has a strong focus on the manager as an artist operating with the potential interaction of individual theatre activities and professions and a wholistic view of theatre and off-stage processes and systems.
- Knowledge contained in the course is applied not only in publically funded theatre but also in private theatre and non-profit organizations. The concept of the course is not only to provide universal instructions, but suggestions, information, knowledge and experience to be considered.

- Natural human creativity, cognitive skills and human interaction.
- Creativity criteria, barriers to creativity, human creativity specifics.
- Theatre as a live organism, theatre as a system.
- Current trends in issues, linked to theatre.
- Creativity and innovation, linked to theatre.
- Development of one's creativity, creative manager.
- Leading creative people, working with people.
- „Creative organization“ (markings, methods and procedures).
- The manager as an artist (creative member of the team).
- Potential synergy with other theatre professions.
- Production dramaturgy (project).
Learning outcomes
- Student adopts knowledge and increases awareness and skills in creative potential in theatre management.
- Student goes through a process from uncovering the potential of one's creativity through a creative group and its support to, so called, „creative organization“, its markings, methods and procedures.
- Students acquire potential to perceive of their own place in the creative process, where the manager is present from the first step of a new project (theatre ensemble, staging, festival, etc.) in creative stage and off-stage processes.

- Knowledge of theatre management issues.
- Knowledge of project management topics.
- Creativity.
- Independent production skills.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Credit is awarded for:
- Class participation,
- completed paper,
- presentation,
- final exam.
The semester is concluded with an exam. Aside from class attendance, grading will be on the measure of active participation and interest, quality of submitted semester paper and project presentation in class.
