This course introduces students both in theory and practice to the wide spectrum of techniques and technologies of stop-motion animation; except doll animation which is taught separately. Home preparations
Learning outcomes
1st semester:
In classes students will be introduced to the basic parts of developed stop-motion surface animation technology and the particulars of its creation. Following this they will try to create their own short animation etude in the given technology: paper, surface, silhouette. Part of instruction in this semester will be an introduction to the work of the multi-plane animation table.
