Hodnoticí metody a kritéria
You can score maximum of 100 points for this course (grades A - E). Minimum to pass is 60%.
Minimum attendance is 70% (i.e. no more than 8 absences are allowed). Please note that the 8 absences already include any school-related activities (workshops, festivals, conferences etc.).
Participation in class discussions (20%): Attendance is mandatory and participation in class discussion
is a crucial course component. Students are expected to read assigned materials prior to class meetings, ask questions, contribute to the discussion and participate. This portion of your grade also includes in-class projects/assignments, small take-home assignments, etc.
Pitch (30%):
Prepare a pitch of your business / creative / artistic project. You must know exactly who the target audience of your pitch are (investors? a media outlet? an organisation /institution you want to partner up for the project you’re pitching?) – you will need to explain this to the rest of the class so that they can answer the appropriate questions.
Length: 5-8 minutes (+ 5-7 minutes for questions)
Visuals (PPT, Keynotes etc.): optional
Make sure:
·the content of your pitch completely addresses the topic you chose
·to effectively and creatively deliver the information while staying on the topic (i. e. don’t stray off topic)
·to keep eye contact with your audience
·to stick to the time limit
Pitch assessment breakdown
Your pitch is assessed with regards to three areas (max. 10 points for each area):
·the content (i.e. the proposed solution) you present,
·the way you present it (voice, self-confidence, eye contact, enthusiasm) and
·the length of the pitch (i.e. whether you are able to stick to the time limit).
Pitch feedback (10%): For instructions see Moodle (top section of the course). To be submitted by email attachment to Cody Perk. Deadline will be set by teacher.
Quiz (20%): A quiz on the selected chapters of W. Byrnes and / or D. Sparling books. Additional information will be provided prior to the quiz.
