Getting acquainted with partner work in folk dance - gradual learning to work with a partner and in a folk dance group. Learning basic partner work, how to use the arms in folk dance, how to lead the dancer. Active practice of assisting in the teaching of individual lifts.

To become familiar with the use of lifts in folk dance in ensemble practice. To learn how to adequately use the different types of smaller lifts with involvement in ensemble dance.

Thematic areas:

  1. Basic partner work in folk dance - use of arms
  2. Exchange of postures, balancing in a couple, basic types of postures and their variations.
  3. Use of basic partner work in dances of different ethnographic regions.
  4. A methodical series of basic low lifts their progression.
  5. Low lifts and their incorporation into dance variations.

Learning outcomes

The credit is awarded on the basis of the completed practice (pedagogical outputs) in selected institutions and its written evaluation. The student actively participates in the reflection of the acquired experience in the form of discussion. It also includes a seminar paper (min. 3 standrad pages), in which the student compares the education system of individual conservatories in the Czech Republic on the basis of their school documents, RVP plans, their own presentation on the website, views their performances.

Other requirements: attendance 80%, activity in teaching, portfolio creation.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Demonstration of targeted assistance and rescue in teaching small lifts in folk dance.

Other requirements. Create a short variation for a dance scene using partner work, basic and special lifts.
