Practical performance of the dances. Individual variations and whole dances with their variants. The student deepens their skills by practical mastering in the hall.
Thematic areas:
1)Basic form of dance steps: each student works on mastering the basic form of dance steps first individually. Accurate technical mastery of the given step is the basis for all possible executions (straight, in body filming, in turning right and left).
2)Mastered steps are combined into larger units, so-called combinations. First, the simpler, and then the more technically demanding steps are joined together. The next step is to dance in pairs. Pair dance is completely unmistakable in folk dance, and therefore it is given a lot of attention. Different pair holds and ways to exchange holds in a pair are combined.
3)Rhythmic variations of steps: The steps are performed in different spatial, tempo and rhythmic variations. Each step has its schematic and rhythmic basis. In the technical implementation, the rhythmic change forms a step of change, which is the basis of the diversity of folklore areas.
4)Other possible variants of folk dance steps: Through demonstrations and practical comparison of the differences in the steps of individual areas, we improve the character and manner of the dance, which is typical in the given area.
5)Step combinations: 2/4 wheel step with skip walk and half run, 3/4 wheel step with hold step and horizontal arc. Motifs „Točená“, in a pair, spetial steps of boy, spinning a girl, cut with rhythmic claps and with turns, smooth straddle with turns in a pair together and apart, Wallachian step crouched and crossed in front and behind and with turns.
6)Polka step with rhythmic stomps, polka in a pair with the girl's tumbling, polka in combination with two hopping steps and three stomps at the end (also for spinning the girl), analysis of the dance scheme with a loose connection to the musical accompaniment - pre-singing before the music (movements of the dancers during the pre-singing ) dancing in a couple, the boy's spetial steps and the girl's twirl.
Learning outcomes
The course extends the already covered material with more complicated dance material and dances from other folklore areas.
