Based on the learning of the new elements students creat a combination based on the curriculum of the 6th year which must be very diverse and more technically challenging than the intermediate level of instruction. In this year there is a particular „breakthrough“ in instruction which begins to move toward the mastery of classical technique. Though there is still the instruction of new elements in simple form, combination slowly begin to take on a professional character.
Music accompaniment in the 6th year is very diverse in comparison to the basic or intermediate phase of instruction. The tempo is significantly faster.
Although in A. Vaganova we find a particular instruction method of classical dance, the students are introduced briefly to other instruction systems whose rise is connected with other important figures in dance (Ex: Cecchetti, Bournonville, Balanchine) and we compare their differences.
Based on observations in dance conservatories, students complete a course paper in which the assess the observed lesson in classical dance.
