Contents
The content of the Pedagogical Pre-seminar course leads to gaining practical experience with various pedagogical approaches, forms and tools of teaching (movement games, touch techniques, technical training, training as a research activity) and acquaintance with basic pedagogical skills. They learn to verbalize their experiences and to evaluate them objectively (and self-evaluate). They are encouraged to systematically seek out sources of inspiration for their own pedagogical practice and from other areas of the arts.
The prerequisite is also an interest in theoretical information, i.e. reading recommended literature and supplementing new information via the Internet, making an effort to become familiar with current developments in the field of dance and dance pedagogy (monitoring and comparing teaching methods of different teachers) and choreographic field at home and abroad. A recommended component is active participation in dance-educational seminars and workshops organized by the Dance deartment or other professional institutions.
Classes are held in collaboration with 1st and 2nd year Modern and contemporary dance students.
The aim is to learn different ways of thinking about the body as a structure and the body in motion. The course offers space to develop one's own creativity, intuition and imagination based on specific movement assignments or improvisational exercises. Students are purposefully guided in this semester to have hands-on experience with various teaching methods and pedagogies in the role of educator.

Learning outcomes
The students learned to verbalize their own movement experience, in the role of the teacher they gained practical experience with the application of various forms and tools of teaching in relation to the topic, i.e. they understood their meaning and purpose.

Evaluation methods and criteria
The examination is awarded on the basis of oral and practical verification of understanding of the course content, written evaluation of the teaching of students of the 1st and 2nd year of the MST Master's degree.
Other requirements: 80% attendance, activity in class, portfolio development, reading of recommended literature.
