Attendance 75%, activity in class In the introduction, particular emphasis is placed on the psychophysical attunement of the adept and on the technique of consciously controlled economic breathing. We break down unfavorable breathing and vocal habits and become familiar with brain, excitatory and neuromuscular activity in the process of communication.
Classes are taught in small groups of students. Students try to consciously use the learned technique in selected etudes. Practical training is accompanied by theoretical explanations rather rarely, usually it is a brief instruction by the teacher or a mutual discussion between teacher and student. All the assigned exercises are then performed by the students in different circumstances, with movement and props. Conscious application of the technique in practice is not yet fully feasible.
Thematic areas:
- The training of muscle relaxation and concentration is combined with elements of yoga exercises, in the next phase with dance and acting elements.
- Breathing exercises are conducted in such a way that students can master at least an average technique of conscious breath management.
- We include voice exercises only when the students have mastered at least an average technique of conscious breath leading. By the end of the winter semester, we expect to have a full „mask“ sound in the middle position, and correct vowel and consonant formation.
Learning outcomes
The student will acquire an approach to the perception of the voice as an essential part of their personality, as an important communication tool. They will acquire theoretical knowledge about the breathing and vocal system, understand the principles of voice formation, acquire the basics of speaking technique practically and, through continuous training in seminars and non-contact independent training, develop the ability to create a sonorous, consciously modulated voice and its expression is also articulately accurate. They will know how to impress the listener sympathetically, knowledgeably and reliably even in stressful situations (stage fright, non-acoustic or large spaces, etc.).
