Learning outcomes
The workshop by Sergei Loznitsa, one of the leading figures in contemporary European auteur cinema that straddles the line between fiction and documentary genres, will primarily focus on a detailed analysis of creative possibilities with film archives. Within the workshop, students will edit their own versions of certain scenes from complex archival films by Sergei Loznitsa - creating a reinterpretation, a remix of the material - and will attempt to find and narrate their own stories or fragments of the film.
